Virginian Pilot December 25, 1907

The funeral service of Mrs. Florence Snead, who was by former marriage Mrs. 
Whitehead, took place at the graveside in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, at 3 
o'clock yesterday afternoon, Rev. W.G. Parker, pastor of the Park View 
Methodist Episcopal Church, officiating 
Mrs. Snead was the victim of accidental laudanum poisoning. She was the lady 
who died in the King's Daughters' Hospital at 9:30 o'clock Monday night after 
taking an overdose of the drug.
One son, by her former marriage, Leonard Whitehead, survives her.
