EDWIN B. SNEAD, RETIRED PASTOR, DIES Rev. Edwin Bridges Snead died at the home of Frank Bain, 433 Thirty-fourth Street, early Thursday morning. The Rev. Mr. Snead was well known in Norfolk, having served for some time at Christ's Episcopal Church here. He retired from the ministry several years ago and had made his home in Norfolk for the last eight years. At the time of his death the deceased was 78 years old. The Rev. Mr. Snead was a Civil War veteran, having served throughout the conflict between the States as a member of the Richmond Howitzers and of Mosby's command. After the war he served as minister in several parishes throughout the State. The last charge which he served was at Natural Bridge. The deceased was a native of Richmond and was a son of the late Dr. Albert and Margaret Bridges Snead, of Richmond. He is survived by a daughter, Miss Louie Atkinson Snead, of Hollins College and a sister, Mrs. Kate S. Yancey, of Macon, Ga. Funeral services for Mr. Snead will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon from the Episcopal Church of the Ascension. The services will be conducted by Bishop B.D. Tucker, Bishop Coadjutor S.C. Thompson, Rev. J.S. Meredith and Rev. R.A. Benton.
