Snell, died in Washington, D.C., Saturday, after a brief illness, aged twenty-six years. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Bain, of Norfolk, and resided here until three years ago, when the family took up their residence in Washington. She was a woman of many beautiful traits of character and had a large circle of friends who will learn with sorrow of her demise. She is survived by her husband and two small children. The body arrived here yesterday morning. The funeral will be held at the home of her mother, Mrs. T.P. Sammons, 804 Park Avenue, at 3 o'clock this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. Reuben Meredith, of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. ************* NOTE: Mrs. Sammons was her stepmother who remarried after the death of Mr. Bain. Alice's biological mother died when Alice was about 2 years old.
