Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, November 17, 1993 
Charles J. ``Little Snipes'' Snipes, 55, of the 900 block of Madison Ave., an
electronics technician, died Nov. 10, 1993, in Chicago.

He was born in Norfolk and was a member and Altarboy at St. Joseph's Catholic
Church. He attended St. Joseph and Norfolk Catholic High School; completed
Norfolk State College in electronics and served in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Rosia L. Snipes of Chicago; one son, Charles G.
Snipes of Norfolk; his mother, Alexina A. Snipes; one brother and sister-in-law,
William A. Snipes Jr. and Mildred Snipes, both of Norfolk; two grandchildren,
Jhera Christina and Tiera Lynette, both of Norfolk; two aunts, Gladys
Higginbotham of Baltimore and Fannie Allen; two uncles, Bennie Allen and Joseph
Barrett, both of Norfolk; two nieces, Audrey Battle and Angela Thorne; and a
number of cousins, all of Norfolk. He was predeceased by his father, William A.
Snipes Sr.

A service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Hale Funeral Home Chapel and will be
conducted by the Rev. Robert Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The
family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
