Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, May 26, 2004 
Ruth Snipes , of the 900 block of Grayson St., died May 24, 2004. Born in
Norfolk to the late Floyd and Daisey Bates, she was the widow of Eric Snipes.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Osborne; two sisters, Maryland Key and
Glugretha Morgan; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was
predeceased by a son, Warren Snipes.

A funeral will be held at noon Friday in the chapel of Riddick Funeral Service
by the Rev. Charles Springs. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be
held Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive
friends at 905 Grayson St. and 815 Goff St. On the day of the service, the
family will assemble at the funeral home at 11:45 a.m.
