Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, July 29, 2004 
Mildred Parham- Snipes , "Mittie," 72, of the 700 block of W. 27th St., died
July 26, 2004, in Lake Taylor Hospital. Mrs. Snipes was a native of Norfolk and
was a retired domestic worker. She is survived by her husband, William Snipes of
Norfolk; six brothers, Melvin, Milton, Jesse, Raymond and Leroy Parham, all of
Norfolk and Robert Parham of Virginia Beach; one sister, Helen P. Eason of
Norfolk; granddaughter, Angela Thorne; great-grandson, Mekhi Latroy Tomlinson of
Chesapeake; and a special niece, Rovanda L. Blount of Hampton. She was
predeceased by her father and mother, Earl and Viola Parham; a daughter, Audrey
Parham-Battle; and her sister, Elsie Skinner.

A service will be conducted at noon Friday in Hale Funeral Chapel. Burial will
be at Calvary Cemetery. The body can be viewed from noon until 8 p.m. today.
