NORFOLK - Mildred Snowden , 81, of the 9500 block of 20th Bay St., died April 9, 
2009. A funeral will be at noon Monnday, April 20, in Second Calvary Baptist 
Church. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.

 NORFOLK - Mildred V. Snowden, 81, went home April 9, 2009. Mildred was preceded 
in death by her husband, Nathaniel Snowden; son, Robert Snowden; sister, Dorothy 
Hodges and brothers, Jessie Reynolds, Benjamin Reynolds and William Reynolds. 
She was the daughter of the late Jessie and Daisy Reynolds. Mildred's survivors 
include a daughter, Daisy Snowden Cole; eight grandchildren, Nathaniel McEachin, 
Troy Snowden, Shonte Snowden, Brian Snowden, Quinn Snowden, Phillip Snowden, 
Brittany Snowden and Jessica Snowden; three great-grandchildren, Brian Snowden, 
Aryonna McEachin and Mari McEachin. Mildred was a pioneer of Second Calvary 
Baptist Church who joined under the leadership of Dr. C.P. Madison. A homegoing 
will be held Monday, Apr. 20, at noon in Second Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, 
with Dr. Geoffrey V. Guns presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A 
viewing will be held Sunday from noon until 8 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home, 2100 
Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, Mildred requested that donations 
be made to Second Calvary Baptist Church, 2940 Corprew Ave., Norfolk, VA 23504, 
in her honor... "Let my work speak for me."
