Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday August 7, 1943
Miss Mittie C. Snyder, aged 84, daughter of the late William C. and Mrs. 
Eliza Gray Snyder, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at the residence, 
508 Graydon Park, yesterday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock. Surviving her are two 
cousins, Mrs. Abbott Morris and Mrs. David Carpenter, both of Norfolk, and a 
number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with the 
Rev. Taylor Willis, D.D., rector of Christ and St. Luke's Church, of which 
Miss Snyder was a member, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
