NORFOLK — Michael Somich, 78, of 561 Garren Ave., died today in a hospital. He 
was the widower of Elizabeth A. Somich.
Mr. Somich, a native of Pennsylvania, had retired as a clerk from the U.S. 
Postal Service. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the 
Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ocean View, and Christ the King Catholic Church.
Survivors include a sister, Ann DeBlake of Rocky River, Ohio; and a brother, 
Steve Somich of Lakewood, Ohio.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Christ the 
King Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A prayer service 
will be held at 7:30 p.m. today in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk 
Chapel. The family will be at the residence.
