A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Jessie E. Harris Arrington. She was the widow of Edward Sorrell. Mrs. Sorrell was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and was a member of the Daughters of the King, Altar Guild, Senior Choir, and Episcopal Church Women at the church. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda M. Hooper and Cynthia E. James and her husband, Floyd James Sr. A funeral will be held at noon Wednesday in Grace Episcopal Church, 1400 E. Brambleton Ave., with the Rev. Father Harold J. Cobb officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will receive friends at Riddick Funeral Service from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and will assemble at 437 Pepper Mill Lane for the procession to the church.
