Mary Louise Cossellman Sotherden, 65, of 1023 W. Main St., Vevay, died Saturday, 
Nov. 27, 2004, at the Swiss Villa Living Center in that city.

She was born March 2, 1939, in Syracuse, N.Y., the daughter of Charles and Anna 
Dorych Cossellman. She lived in Norfolk, Va., for 39 years, moving to Vevay July 
25, 2004, after the death of her husband, Donald Sotherden, whom she married Aug. 
31, 1955. She was a homemaker; a member of the Fleet Club Reserve and Christ the 
King Parish; and enjoyed reading.

Surviving are one son, Steve Sotherden of Vevay; two daughters, Victoria Sotherden 
Fuller of Monroe and Mindy Rankin of Austin, Texas; four sisters, Christine Owens, 
Berniece Jenkins and Diane Hobbs, all of Liverpool, N.Y., and Charlotte Abert of 
Syracuse; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, July 9, 2004; and one 
brother, Charles Cossellman.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Smith & Williams Funeral Home in 
Norfolk, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum in that city.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 818 Norview Ave.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer 
Society, or the charity of the donor's choice. Cards are available at the Haskell 
& Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay; and at the funeral home in Norfolk.
