E. Norman South, 84, of the 3100 block of Shore Drive, a retired 
planner/estimator, died May 26, 1990, in a hospital.

Mr. South, a native of Mitchell, Ind., had retired from Todd Electric Co. after 30 
years. He was a member of Catholic Church of the Holy Family.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine W. South; two daughters, Kay Wright, of 
Virginia Beach and Sallie Cox, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a son, Tony South, of 
Virginia Beach; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A private Joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in Catholic Church of 
the Holy Family by the Rev. James E. Dorson. Burial will be private. A Christian 
wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today in the church, and friends may join 
the family there until 7:30 p.m. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Road 
Chapel, is handling arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad.
