Norfolk - Funeral services were held Monday at First Baptist Church, Berkley 
avenue, by the Rev. William Tyree, pastor for William Albert Southall of 216 
Chestnut street.  Interment followed in Calvary Cemetery with Chatman Funeral 
Home in charge.

The Norfolkian, a son of the late Peter Southall and Mrs. Eliza Portlette 
Southall, died Sept. 3 in Norfolk Community Hospital after a long illness.  The 
retired cleaner and presser who was a member of First Baptist Church and Berkley 
Elks Lodge, is survived by several nieces and nephews.
