Mrs. Southall was the widow of William Dickson Southall. Her late parents were William Edward and Mrs. Grizzelle MacDonald Sanderson Thomson. For many years, she taught the women’s Bible classes at Epworth Methodist Church, and at one time was State president of the Women’s Missionary Society. She was a charter member of the of the King’s Daughters and for 25 years served as vice president of the organization. The Southall Circle of King’s Daughters was named for her. She also belonged to the board of the Traveler’s Aid and the Lydia H. Roper Home and was a member of the Garden Club of Norfolk. Surviving are one sister, Miss Gertrude Thomson; one niece, Miss Grizzell Thomson, of Norfolk; and one cousin, Mrs. John H. Pearson, of Richmond. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments by the Rev. Joseph S. Johnston, pastor of Epworth Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
