The Rev. J.S. Askew officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Hale Funeral Home. A clerk employed by A. Pearlman for 35 years, Mrs. Southall was 69. She died at her home. The deceased was a member of Evening Star Lodge, Daughter Elks 10A, Waldorf and Tree of Life Lodges. Survivors include a son, Howard Brumbley; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Roselle of New York; a sister, Mrs. Eva Fletcher of Heathville, Va.; her husband, Philip Southall; and a brother, Asbury Maddox of Colonia Beach.
