She was the wife of Peter Southall and daughter of the late William and Dianna Porttette. The deceased was born 64 years ago on the Porttette homestead at the intersection of Chestnut and Pine street, Berkley and lived her entire life on this spot. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William Jones and Mrs. Geo. Eaton, two sons, W. A. and E. Southall and one sister, Mrs. Mary Lou Deans. The funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2: o’clock at First Baptist Chapel, the pastor Rev. J. C. (illegible surname) officiating. Durthing the services, Mrs. Kenneth Churchill, of Portsmouth, sang “Peace, Perfect Peace.” The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
