Funeral services for Vernon Spady, 51, of 928 Dunbar street, who died at
Kecoughtan, VA, at the United States Veterans Administration Hospital Saturday,
Dec. 16, were held at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, the Rev. F. P. Wise
officiating, Wednesday, Dec. 20. He was a native of Southampton County and a
widower. The deceased was a veteran of World War I, a PVT. in Co. A., 548th
Engineers. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
