Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, February 25, 2004 
Severn Spady Sr., affectionately known as "Bud Spady ," 83, of the 100 block of
Suburban Parkway, departed this life Feb. 22, 2004. A native of Cape Charles,
Va., he was a member of Norfolk United Methodist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Valerie Keemer of Hampton and Juandrita Ford of
California; two sons, Severn Spady Jr. of Florida and Reginald Spady of Norfolk;
three sisters; three brothers; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a host
of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; and a special friend,
Barbara Gorham.

A funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Norfolk United Methodist Church.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from noon to
6 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
