H. SPEIGHT FOUND BY CHILDREN IN SOUTH NORFOLK Children playing near the Sloane Knitting Mills in South Norfolk yesterday morning discovered the body of William Henry Speight, aged 46, lying on the porch of a vacant house on McDonald Street. Speight, married and the father of three children, lived at 1605 Chesapeake avenue, South Norfolk. Dr. L.C. Ferebee, coroner for Norfolk County, investigated the death and stated that it was due to natural causes. Mr. Speight was for many years in the employ of the Texas Company. A native of Norfolk County, he had lived in this section all his life. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lily Frances Speight; one son, Raymond Speight; two daughters, Miss Mildred Speight and Mrs. Carlo Ganelli, both of this city; two brothers, C.F. Speight, of Norfolk and Nathaniel Speight, of Baltimore and two sisters, Mrs. George Stafford, of Hamlet, N.C. and Mrs. Elizabeth White, of Norfolk. The body was removed to the funeral home of Graham & Sykes, South Norfolk. Tomorrow it will be removed to the family residence where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
