Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, September 6, 1992 
Annie M. Spellman, 86, of the 1100 block of Holt St., died Sept. 4, 1992, in a
nursing home.

Mrs. Spellman was born in Kenley, N.C., and was a member of C.H. Mason Memorial
Church of God In Christ. She was the widow of Patrick H. Spellman.

Survivors include three daughters, Nellie M. Turner, Ruth Spellman and Annie
Washington, all of Norfolk; four sons, Joseph Harrington of Virginia Beach,
James P. Spellman of Chesapeake, Donald Spellman of New York and the Rev.
Bernard Spellman of Norfolk; 37 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in C.H. Mason Memorial
Church of God In Christ by Elder David Williams. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . Viewing will begin at noon Tuesday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home.
The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The family will
assemble at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the residence for the procession to the church.
