NORFOLK — Lester P. Spence, of the 800 block of Park Ave., died July 9,1986, in 
Norfolk.
Mr. Spence, a Norfolk native, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Bertha Hooke Spence; and five 
brothers, Thomas Spence Jr., Keith Spence, Bryant Spence, James Jackson and 
Brandon Spence, all of Norfolk.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary’s 
Catholic Church by the Rev. Walter Barrett. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Catholic Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the 
church’s restoration fund. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today in Graves 
Funeral Home.
