Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, May 26, 1994 
Mary M. Spence, 78, of the 300 block of Hospital Drive, a retired domestic
worker, died May 24, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mrs. Spence was born in Norfolk, daughter of the late Mary Uzzle and Thomas L.
Green. She was the widow of Joe Spence.

Survivors include several cousins, Hilda M. Shelton, Robert Shelton, Lena Uzzle,
Mary Uzzle, Martha Uzzle, Shirley Uzzle, Johnny Uzzle; aunt-in-law, Mary Uzzle;
and a host of other relatives.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev.
M.L. Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will assemble at
the funeral home Saturday at 12:30 p.m. for services. The family will be at 304
Viking St., Portsmouth.
