NORFOLK - Goldie Ann Spencer, 76, of the 500 block of Nicholson St., peacefully
passed on Nov. 19, 2003. She was a native of Charlotte Court House, Va., born to
the late James and Ruth Moore Spencer. She was a graduate of Booker T.
Washington High School evening class of 1964. She was a member of the Courts of
Calanthe; Priscilla Court 292. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter,
Edna D. Outlaw (William); one son, Earnhart Spencer (Georgene); three sisters,
Rosetta Green, Isabel Johnson and Velma Gee; three brothers, William, Rolla and
Joe Spencer; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other
relatives and friends. She was also predeceased by a son, James; a daughter,
Ernestine; and stepfather, Godwin Spencer. A service will be held Monday at 1
p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Michael Bailey officiating.
A viewing will be held Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will
be at Calvary Cemetery.
