The Virginian Pilot February 3, 1987
Mitchell Spencer, 45, of the 700 block of Reservoir Ave., died Jan. 31, 1987, 
in a hospital.
Mr. Spencer, a North Carolina native, was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist 
Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Cleo Brooks; a son, Tony Brooks,; his mother, 
Cleo; and a sister, Alma Bryant, all of Norfolk; two brothers, Abner Bryant of 
Norfolk and James Bryant of North Carolina; and his maternal grandmother, 
Pauline Spencer of Norfolk.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Twilight Funeral Home by 
the Rev. J. B. Sharp. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Viewing will begin 
today
