New Journal and Guide, March 12, 1977

Norfolk - Mrs. Bessie Spiller of 889 A. Ave., the wife of William T. Spiller and 
a native of Norfolk, died February 21 in a hospital.

She was a member of Grace Protestant Episcopal Church.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Hermoine S. Ford of Virginia Beach 
and Mrs. Mamie S. Murray of Norfolk; three grandchildren; and five great-
grandchildren.

A funeral was held February 23 in Grace Protestant Episcopal Church by the Rev. 
Joseph N. Green. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Service in 
charge.
