Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, October 3, 1997 
Cynthia Elaine ``Peaches'' Spratley, 34, of the 500 block of Nicholson St., died
Sept. 28, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Born in Norfolk, she was a school crossing guard for the city of Norfolk.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Stevens; her stepfather, Herbert Stevens
Sr.; a sister, Dorothy Stevens; two brothers, Herbert Stevens Jr. and Mark
Stevens; a loving and devoted grandmother with whom she lived, Lucinda Riddick
and Gladys Wilson; an aunt, Marion Riden; great-aunt, Margaret Riddick; a
special uncle, Milton Riddick; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and
friends. She was predeceased by her father, the late Sylrester Hunt.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by
the Rev. Gunns. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will receive
friends at 513 Nicholson St. and assemble there one hour before the service.
