Virginian Pilot March 25, 1997

Lucy Brumback Spratley, 93, died March 23, 1997.
Born in Page County, Va., she was a retired private duty registered nurse. She was 
the widow of Ashby W. Spratley.
Survivors include two sons, Ashby W. Spratley Jr. of Garner, N.C., William D. 
Spratley of Norfolk; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery. The 
family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive 
Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 tonight.
