William Roger Spring, 55, of the 5300 block of Barharbor Drive, a retired 
lieutenant commander, died Aug. 13, 1993, in his residence.

Mr. Spring was born in Yonkers, N.Y. He retired from the Navy after 20 years and 
was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Virginia Beach and the Knights of 
Columbus. He was the widower of Mona M. Spring.

Survivors include three daughters, Lt. Cmdr. Thersa Reisenfeld, of Fredericksburg, 
Va., Cpt. Lauren Cieri, of Seattle, Wash., and Marya Spring, of Norfolk; a son, 
Glenn W. Spring, of Norfolk; and four grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Matthews Catholic Church by 
the Rev. Timothy Drake. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Rosary service 
will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. A 
reception will be held at the church after interment.
