Mr. Sprouse was a telegrapher for the Norfolk & Western Railway Co. for 54 years and was with the Southern Railway Co. for six years before he came to Norfolk. Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Mallory Sprouse Lambert (Mrs. T. Earle Lambert) of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. G.K. Bowers of Wytheville and two nieces. The body will be taken from the Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home to Cedar Grove Cemetery for private services at the grave tomorrow at 11 a.m. to be conducted by the Rev. Paul R. Best, pastor of the Chesapeake Avenue Methodist Church. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
