Norfolk - Mrs. Della Spruiell of 2728 Westminister Avenue, the widow of Elbert 
Spruiell, died Feb. 10 in a hospital.

A native of Williamston, NC, she was a daughter of the late H. Bowrougths and 
Mrs. Mary B. White.

She was a deaconess, a past president of the Pastor Aid Society, a member of the 
Usher Board and Missionary Society of Second Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Wilbert E. Spruiell of Dorchester, MA, and Luther J. 
Spruiell of Newark, NJ; three daughters, Mrs. Lubertia Green, Mrs. Mary F. 
Daniel, and Mrs. Idella S. Rogers of Norfolk; two brothers, Jesse White and 
George A. white of New York; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Feb. 15 in Second Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. 
H. W. B. Walker. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in 
charge.
