Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark May 16, 1913

Mrs. Leigh Bertie Spry, wife of Samuel Spry, died at her home 610 Land Street, 
yesterday morning after an illness of one year, in the forty-third year of her 
age. She is survived by her husband, two sons, B.E. and S.R. Spry and two 
daughters, Misses Donnie E. and Mary J. Spry, all of this city. She was a native 
of Norfolk and had resided here her entire life and was well known and highly 
esteemed. The funeral will be held at the residence at 3 o'clock this afternoon 
and will be conducted by Rev. Vernon I'Anson, D.D., of Grace Baptist Church. 
Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
