Mrs. Stacy was born April 26, 1914, in Myrtle, Va. Mrs. Stacy was one of seven children born to Douglas and Agnes Bunch. She was the wife of the late William H. Stacy. She was a member of Brotherly Love COGIC, where she worked diligently for years to help strengthen the ministry. Mrs. Stacy was one of the oldest mothers of the church and also was an active member of the Mothers Board, until her untimely illness. Mrs. Stacy is survived by her five sons, Elder Millard E. Stacy (Ruby) of Dallas, Texas, William C. Stacy (Dorothy) of Philadelphia, Pa., Alfred L. Stacy (Belvin) of Norfolk, Carey Stacy of Norfolk, Leary Stacy of Petersburg, Va.; two sisters, Bettie Dickey and Florence Bennett of Norfolk; a niece, Jean B. Lewis of Norfolk; a nephew, Calvin Clark (Lorraine) of Pleasantville, N.J.; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a loyal friend, Mrs. Marcella Faison. A funeral will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brotherly Love COGIC, 7531 Divan St., in the Titustown section of Norfolk, VA 23505 by the Rev. Gary L. Preston. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Hale Funeral Home. The body will be placed for viewing at the church at 10 a.m. today. The family will be at the residence of S. Stacy, 2901 Bapaume Ave., Norfolk.
