The Norfolk Virginian, February 08, 1898
The funeral of Mr. Samuel Stafford, who died Sunday morning at 6 o’clock, took 
place at 3 o’clock from the residence of his mother, Mrs. S. Stafford, No. 60 
Chapel Street. Rev. J.W. Moore, assisted by Rev. J.B. Merritt, conducted the 
services. The remains were interred in Elmwood.
