Norfolk - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Stanley of 916 E. Olney road died in a hospital.

A native of Newport News, she was a daughter of William Stanley and the late 
Mrs. Mary E. Stanley.  She was a Baptist.

Besides her father, surviving are four sons, Jerry Stanley of Newport News, 
William Stanley of Culpepper, Richard Stanley of Capron, and Charles Ray Stanley 
of Norfolk;  two daughters, Mrs. Sandra White and Miss Deborah Stanley of 
Norfolk;  four brothers, Julius Stanley of New York  and William Stanley Jr., 
John Stanley, and Joseph Stanley of Newport News;  four sisters, Mrs. Emma 
Stanley of New Jersey, Mrs. Dorothy Jenkins of New York, and Mrs. Hattie Guion 
and Miss Mildred Stanley of Newport News;  and six grandchildren.

Riddick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
