Virginian Pilot December 16, 1991

Winifred Reid Staples, 80, of the 1500 block of Harmon St., died Dec. 15, 1991, 
in a hospital.
Mr. Staples was born in Norfolk. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the 
Ascension. He was past president of the United Spanish War Veterans Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Hugh R. Staples of Norfolk; a sister, Ruby L. 
Huddleston of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Elmwood Cemetery 
by the Rev. Charles Green. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is 
handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at 9116 St. George Ave.
