Funeral services for Simon Staten, who died Wednesday night, were conducted Sunday 
at 1 p.m. from the Union Christian Church by the pastor, Rev. R. J. Alston, 
assisted by Rev. J. J. Faulks, the former pastor.

The choir, Mrs. Alice Reed, Mrs. Sweat gave musical selections fitting to the 
occasion.

The pall bearers were W. D. Boone, D. Osborne, J. O. Everette, W. H. Parker and R. 
Sweat. Five sons, four daughters, survive the deceased.
