Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, May 23, 1999 
Adelle A. Staten, 89, of the 700 block of Fern St., Washington, D.C., died May
19, 1999, at a local hospital in Chevy Chase, Md.

A native of Norfolk, she was a member of Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church in
Norfolk.

The widow of Willie L. Staten, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law,
F. Beverly Boone and Burlon Boone, Barbara S. Wynn and John Wynn; a son and
daughter-in-law, William R. Staten and Edith O. Staten; two sisters, Virginia
Watson and Bernice A. Dickinson; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; an
aunt, Nettie B. Clark; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives
and friends.

A funeral will be at noon Monday at Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church by presiding
elder, E.H. Whitley. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will
assemble at Graves Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m. today.
