Mrs. Ethel Rochelle Staton of 875 Rugby street died Tuesday at 3 p.m. at her 
residence following a brief illness.  She was a native of Norfolk and daughter 
of the late George L. Rochelle.

Mrs. Staton was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church.  She held membership 
also in the Happy Ten Social Club and the Eureka Lodge.

She is survived by two sisters, Miss Louise M. Rochelle and Mrs. Ruth R. Brown;  
one brother, Charlie M. Rochelle;  four nieces, three nephews and other 
relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, in the chapel of Hale 
Funeral Home with Dr. J. Jasper Freeman, pastor of Queen Street Baptist Church, 
officiating.  Buriall will be in Calvary Cemetery.
