Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, December 12, 1994 
Mr. Perry Lee ``Red'' Staton, departed this life on Friday, Dec. 9th at DePaul
Hospital.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Williams of Norfolk and grandfather, Mr.
Sylvester Staton and step grandmother, Mrs. Myrtice Staton of Englewood, N.J.;
three sisters, Yvonne Watford of Norfolk, Patricia Connor Hickory, N.C. and
Sonya Carruth of San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Alexander Staton and Michael
Watford of Norfolk and Claude Williams of Hickory, N.C.; one aunt, Catherine
Edward of Norfolk; two uncles and five great-aunts; and a host of nieces and
nephews; other relatives and friends.

He attended Lake Taylor High School, Norfolk, Technical Vocational Center and
Norfolk State University.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Graves Funeral Home by the
Rev. Anthony Moses. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will
assemble at 1873 Greenleaf Drive, Norfolk, at noon.
