Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, February 10, 2000 
Charles E. Staton, 74, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2000, in New York City. Born in
Norfolk, he was the son of the late Thomas T. and Flossie A. Staton.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda West of Norfolk, Beverly Haliday of
Newport News and Deborah Pulley of Hampton; a son, Charles E. Staton Jr.; a
brother, Linwood Staton of New York City; an aunt, Ida Mae Lawrence of Scotland
Neck, N.C.; grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Hale Funeral Home
by Elder Cathy Rodwell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . You may call
853-6666 to speak with a family member.
