NORFOLK - Charles C. ``Charlie Boo'' Staton, 58, of Reservoir Avenue, died
Wednesday, March 1, 2001, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

He was born Oct. 6, 1942, in Norfolk and was the son of the late Viola C. Staton
formerly of Norfolk and Sylvester Staton of New Jersey. He attended Norfolk
public schools.

Charles is survived by his father, Sylvester Staton of New Jersey; a son,
Charles Jr.; a daughter, Vanessa of Norfolk; two sisters, Katherine Edwards and
Helen Williams; a brother, Timothy Staton, all of Norfolk; four aunts, Beatrice
C. Hood, Margaret A. Burden, Mary V. Brown and Lois E. Moore, all of Norfolk; a
special friend, Beatrice Williams of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, -nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Wednesday at Metropolitan Funeral Home, Granby
Street.
