Norfolk Virginian Pilot April 13, 1946

George Washington Stavro, former Norfolk resident, died Friday morning at 
Bedford. Surviving him are three nieces, Mrs. B.A. Hayes and Mrs. Forrest 
Murden, of Norfolk and Mrs. Mary Prichard, of San Francisco; five nephews, W.G. 
Stavro, of Norfolk; George F. Stavro, of Augusta, Ga.; Eugene Stavro of San 
Francisco; F.L. and C.A. Moorehead, of Norfolk.
The body will be brought to Norfolk for funeral services and interment at a time 
to be announced later.

STAVRO, GEORGE WASHINGTON - At Bedford, Va., Friday morning, April 12th, 1946, 
GEORGE WASHINGTON, son of the late George W. and Mrs. Jane Stavro. Remains will 
be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 Colonial Avenue, to 
St. Mary’s Catholic Church for services MONDAY MORNING at 11 o’clock. Friends of 
the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
