The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday January 7, 1944
Mrs. Eva Mae Brooks Steadman, 55, wife of Frank Steadman, Sr., died at a local 
hospital last night at 6:30 o'clock. Besides her husband she is survived by two 
daughters, Misses Irene Marie and Rita Mae Steadman, both of Norfolk; three 
sons, Harold B. Steadman, of Pearl Harbor, Frank Steadman, Jr., of Norfolk, and 
William D. Steadman, U.S.A. and two sisters, Mrs. Mort Loveland and Mrs. Fred 
Vandoozer, both of Honson City, N.Y.
Mrs. Steadman was a native of Athens, Pa., and had been a resident of Norfolk 
for 25 years. She was a member of the McKendree Methodist Church.
The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown funeral Home pending funeral 
arrangements.
