Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark July 13, 1923

Odis Wood Steele, son of C.O. and Mrs. Irene Humphries Steele, died at 1 o'clock 
yesterday morning at the home of his parents in Franklin, Va.  He was only eight 
months of age and had been ill for several weeks.
The funeral was held at the home of his grandfather, T.C. Humphries, on St. James 
street, South Norfolk, yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock.  Rev. O.D Poythress, 
pastor of the South Norfolk Christian Church, conducted the services.  Burial was 
in Magnolia Cemetery.
