The Virginian Pilot Wednesday May 8, 1985
Dorothy Hirschler Stein, 69, of 410 Brackenridge Ave., a native of Norfolk, died
Monday in a hospital.

Mrs. Stein was a member Ohef Sholom Temple.  She formerly served as an officer
of the Sisterhood of Ohef Sholom Temple and was a former member of the board of
the Council of Jewish Women.  She was a volunteer Pink Lady at Norfolk General
Hospital and a former volunteer for the United Way.

Survivors include her husband, Milford A. Stein;  two sons, Alan D. Stein and
Robert L. Stein Sr., both of Norfolk;  a brother, Lewis Hirschler of Norfolk; 
and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral
Apartments, Norfolk, by Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman.  Burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be sent to Ohef Sholom Temple or to the American Cancer
Society.
