NORFOLK — George Anthony Stengel, 77, a retired mail room foreman, died Oct. 19, 
1987, in a nursing home.
Mr. Stengel, a native of Norfolk, was a Roman Catholic. He was a member of 
Knights of Pythian.
Survivors include a sister, Katherine F. O’Reilly, of Norfolk.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Matthew’s 
Catholic Church by the Rev. Scott Duarte. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
A prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. today and 
will be followed by visitation.
