Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday March 7, 1939

Mrs. Mary Adams Stephens, aged 80, widow of Charles S. Stephens, died in 
Staunton yesterday morning after a long illness. She is survived by two sons, 
S. F. Stephens, of Staunton and C. A. Lanier Stephens, of Norfolk, and two 
grandchildren, Charles Seton and Anne Ball Stephens. Mrs. Stephens was a 
native of Thomasville, Va., and was a resident of Norfolk for 40 years. She 
had resided in Staunton for the last five years.
The body will be taken from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Elmwood 
Cemetery for funeral services at the grave tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock.
