Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, December 19, 1996 
Donnell J. Stepney of the 500 block of Carolina Ave., died Dec. 15, 1996.

A Norfolk native and student at Norfolk State University, he was a 1994 graduate
of Maury High School and a graduate of the Norfolk Skill Center as a brick mason.

Survivors include a daughter, J'nell McAdams of Norfolk; parents, Annette
Stepney and John Alford; two brothers, Johnell Stepney and Ronnell Stepney, both
of Norfolk; maternal grandparents, Sylvester and Vivian Stepney of Norfolk;
paternal grandmother, Rebecca Alford of Maryland; two uncles, Anthony Stepney of
Chesapeake, Willie Alford of Norfolk; three aunts, Marilyn Watson of California,
Barbara Person of Chesapeake, Costella Alford of Maryland; two uncles-in-law,
Michael Watson of California, Jermaine Person of Chesapeake; godmother, Kathryn
Harold of New Jersey; three great-aunts and two great-uncles, all of Virginia; a
very dear friend, Ms. Ernestine Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mount Carmel United Methodist
Church by the Rev. Clarence Russell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The
family will be at the residence the day of the service. Graves Funeral Home is
handling arrangements.
