A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Sterling had resided here all her life. She was the daughter of the late James Samuel and Alice Corbell Addison, and resided at 301 West Thirtieth Street. She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Joseph M. Sterling, three grandchildren, Miss Katherine Sterling, Joseph M. Sterling, Jr., and James Warren Sterling and two nephews, all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted in the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the family plot, Elmwood Cemetery.
