Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark September 21, 1915

STERLING --At the residence of her son-in-law, E.E. Barton, near Great Bridge, 
Norfolk county, Va., Monday morning, September 20th, 1915, at 9 o'clock, Mrs. 
SARAH DELPHINE STERLING, widow of the late Frederick Sterling, aged 80 years, 10 
months and 12 days.
The funeral will take place at the family residence THIS (Tuesday) MORNING at 10 
o'clock.  Friends of the family respectfully invited to attend.

Mrs. Sarah Delphine Sterling, in the 81st year of her age, died yesterday 
morning at 9 o'clock at the residence of her son-in-law, E.E. Barton, near Great 
Bridge, Norfolk county.  Mrs. Sterling was well known and esteemed in that 
section of the county  She was a native of New York state, but had been a 
resident of Norfolk county for 14 years. The funeral services will be conducted 
at the residence this morning at 10 o'clock and the interment will be in the 
family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.

Age 80 yr 10 mo 20 days on death certificate.  Correction made to read 81st year 
of age vs 71st year.
